This march is a march of solidarity with the message of Occupy; even if you don’t support all of the tactics occupy employs, this is meant to be a fun, inclusive, community march focused on the message of inequality and the solidarity of sticking together with that message.
March route as follows:
From Ankeny Plaza, south on Naito Parkway
West on SW Ash
South on SW 3rd
West on SW Oak
South on SW 5th
East on SW Columbia
North on SW 4th
East on SW Salmon
End at Salmon Springs Fountain
Occupy Portland Committees will be set up at Salmon Fountain, for “Meet the Occupiers” at 5 p.m.
It’s a chance for the community to plug into how they can help and it gives a chance for committees show off the hard work they’ve done. Afterwards, when you return to your community, you can discuss how to best work together to empower your community in painting a brighter path forward.
Free concert 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come listen to some terrific musicians with appeal to a variety of musical tastes. Great opportunity for public dancing with families and friends.
